Motorola is rumored to working on a new mid-range Moto G-series phone called the Motorola Moto G13. Even though the company hasn’t announced the device yet, it has been spotted on a few certification websites, including the Indian BIS certification website. The Motorola Moto G13 (model number Motorola XT2231-3) has recently been certified by the Thai NBTC and the Indian BIS. This was spotted by Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), who tweets about cool stuff. The NBTC certification confirms the device’s name, and the BIS listing suggests that Motorola may soon start selling the Motorola Moto G13 in India. The Motorola Moto G13 will be a 4G phone, so we expect the device to cost less than Rs 15,000 in India unless Motorola does something cool with the phone’s specs and features, which seems unlikely.

Since the Motorola Moto G13 will only have 4G, we can expect it to have at least a 90Hz AMOLED screen to make up for not having 5G. Also, the device could have a MediaTek Helio G99 processor or a Snapdragon 732G chipset, which would make sense since Redmi is reportedly working on releasing its Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G with the same processor.

Regarding the battery, we expect the Motorola Moto G13 to have a 5,000mAh battery that supports (at least) 33W fast charging through a USB Type-C port. The device will probably work right out of the box with Android 13.

We can expect Motorola to show off the Moto G13 sometime in the first quarter of 2023. The device will come out in India in January 2023.
