The University of Wisconsin women’s volleyball team and athletic department are investigating the leak of private photos and recordings of team members.
Because the athletic department did not provide any specifics regarding the photos or videos in question, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel obtained a snapshot from a source who said it was one of the images in question. “UWPD is not investigating any wrongdoing on the part of the volleyball student-athletes in this matter,” the statement reads. Our priority is always our student-athletes, so we ensure they have everything they need to succeed.
According to the University of Wisconsin, the team members reported the images shared with the campus police after they learned of the incident. The athletic department released a statement saying that multiple offenses, including the unauthorized distribution of intimate images, are under investigation.

According to the statement, the unauthorized disclosure was a severe and unwarranted infringement of the student-athletes privacy and may have broken university standards and criminal statutes.
