The estimated price range is between 11,000,000 and 15,000,000. In 2023, MG will release a budget electric vehicle in India.
Currently, four electric vehicles manufactured by Tata Motors are available to consumers. There is the new Tata Tiago EV hatchback, the Tata Tigor EV sub-4m compact car, the Tata Nexon EV Prime, and the Tata Nexon EV MAX SUV are electric vehicles. MG will challenge Tata’s lead in electric vehicles (EVs) with a new, cheap EV for India.
In an interview with ET, Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director of MG Motor India, explained that to maintain competitive pricing, the company must manufacture many of its components in India, including batteries. The business anticipates beginning sales of its affordable electric vehicle in India during the second quarter of 2023 (April through June).

MG’s goal is to develop and expand a local support framework for the electric vehicle industry in the country. Rajeev also discussed the plans to collaborate with startups to establish indigenous battery chemistry and charging options for the country. The CEO also expressed confidence in the long-term viability of the EV market in the country. In addition, 500 units per month of the MG ZS EV, a small sport utility vehicle, planned for production.

When released, the MG EV will be more expensive than the Tata Tiago EV. Instead, we committed to providing exceptional value and innovative solutions to our clientele. Our goal with this new electric vehicle is to create a new market for urban transportation.
The next generation of electric vehicles (EVs) will likely include more advanced technology than the Tata Tiago EV. So, even if MG plans to manufacture as many as 60% of its vehicles in India, even its most affordable EV will be more expensive than the similarly equipped Tata Tiago EV.
MG ZS EV
You may purchase a compact electric SUV called the MG ZS EV in India. Starting at only Rs. 22.58 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 174-horsepower electric motor and features a battery pack that store 50.3. These power plants’ combined mileage and transmissions estimated to be 461 kilometers.
